AQNY: A fleet of 62 WQN container wagons were constructed in Perth by A.Goninan in 1998, for the movement of sulphur in containers from Kwinana to Malcolm. 12 similar WQK wagons (now AZKY class) were also built at the same time for ammonia transport in the same direction. The WQN class were later reclassified AQNY. AQNY 32164 was converted to an AZKY in September 2015, to provide a 13th wagon in the ammonia transport fleet. Sulphur is railed to Malcolm, then road hauled to the Murrin Murrin mine for conversion to Sulphuric Acid. This is then used in the processing operation in the High Pressure Acid Leach stage, where the nickel and cobalt is extracted from the mined ore.
AZKY: A fleet of 12 WQK container wagons were built by A.Goninan & Co. in Perth in 1998 for the movement of anhydrous ammonia from Kwinana to Malcolm, a distance of 930km. Ammonia tanks are semi-permanently fitted. These wagons are now coded AZKY in line with the ROA classification scheme. AQNY 32164 was converted to an AZKY in September 2015, to provide a 13th wagon in this fleet
Note: These wagons will only work in TRS19 due to features only available in TRS19. No assistance will be provided if attempted to be used in TANE or earlier trainz versions.
